Report on Military Veterans as Franchisees Has Some Surprises

Franchisees with military experience enjoy operating their businesses and being a part of their franchise organizations, but rate their own performance as franchisees slightly lower than their non-vet counterparts. To compile the research for this report, Franchise Business Review surveyed nearly 2,000 military-trained franchisees, representing 178 brands and more than 60,000 franchise units.

Military Veterans Can Get a Major Franchise Fee Discount With This Franchise Business!

 

In an ongoing effort to reach out to US Military Veterans, Maid Brigade’s recent Veteran Program announcement is actually more than double the discount offered by IFA VetFran companies, which requires franchises commit to a 20 percent discount off its franchise fee.

Maid Brigade is completely waiving its franchise fee as well as an additional $13,000 of the total investment for its Select Market Franchise.

US Army Reserve Hooks Up With The International Franchise Association

 

Veterans can make excellent franchise owners. For sure.

 

The VetFran program really made things happen, several years ago, and now this new partnership may just get things moving ahead, again...

IFA President and CEO Stephen J. Caldeira and Daniel Allen, executive director of the Employer Partnership Office of the U.S. Army Reserve signed a Certificate of Partnership to funnel franchise prospects from the Army Reserve, toward IFA’s Veteran’s Transition Franchise Initiative, VetFran, program, which connects veterans with discounts and incentives offered to veterans by franchise companies to help them get into franchising. In addition, VetFran participating companies will gain access to men and women who have expertise in executing systems gained from their military training.

Christmas Decor Pledges To Help Military Families

Each holiday season, hundreds of Christmas Decor franchisees nationwide donate their products, resources and time to decorate the homes of local military as a part of the Decorated Family Program. The idea for the Decorated Family Program originated with a Christmas Decor franchisee at a gathering in 2003. The festive dinner got him thinking about the many military families that wouldn't be able to share a holiday meal with their soldier that season.

Maid Brigade Wants You! (Military Veterans)

Atlanta, Georgia based Maid Brigade, who has a long history of supporting Military Veterans, will begin offering qualified Veterans a 45 percent discount off the total investment to own a Select Market Franchise territory. The newly created program extends one of the deepest discounts to Veterans interested in owning a franchise business in the United States. Maid Brigade's Veterans Program will be offered to the first 10 qualified Veterans, and applications can be found on the program's website www.maidbrigadeforveterans.com.

The 45 percent discount translates into a reduction of $27,900 and includes waiving the franchise fee ($14,900), territory fee ($10,000) and equipment package ($3,000). The total investment for a Select Market Franchise is $62,900 and includes an exclusive territory of 10,000 qualified households. The remaining $35,000 initial investment will be the franchisee's responsibility.

"This new Maid Brigade Veterans Program is offering a great value to Veterans by providing them with a significant discount that goes well beyond the standard 20 percent discount on a company's franchisee fee," said Lonnie Helgerson, chairman of the International Franchise Association's VetFran Committee. "Maid Brigade should be commended for their program as well as their ongoing commitment to veterans."
