Microloan Information For Veterans

The SBA has a few interesting programs. Did you ever hear about this particular one?

"The Small Business Administration began development of the Microloan Program in 1992. Its goal of increasing the availability of loans to small-business borrowers is achieved through the use of private, non-profit intermediaries. These intermediaries provide new and existing borrowers with very small loans. They are comfortable with the background and needs of small borrowers and provide loan amounts that larger loan programs would generally not be interested in. They have propelled the program's success and enabled it to receive permanent status in 1997. '

So many choices in franchising. So many websites. Information overload runs rampant. Who should you believe? When do you know you have the right answers?

I find that a lot of prospective franchise owners stop investigating franchises a little too early. They have gone pretty far, but self-doubt starts to creep in.

They ask themselves questions like;

• Am I looking at the right category in franchising?
• Should i get an attorney yet?
• Is this franchise right for my geographical area?

Another area of franchise confusion comes from really smart folks who feel that they have a great prospective franchise concept. I get contacted weekly by some of them, and find that their ideas are great, but some are really not ready for prime time. Lots of questions come up. I have some of the answers.

I have created an online resource that is a 1st of it's kind, and one that I feel is sorely needed.

National Franchise Advisory Service Launched For Veterans; It's Free!

                                                                                                                   

Over the years, I have had the pleasure of helping several military veterans make the transition to franchise/small business ownership, in my local area.
{Cleveland, Akron, and Canton, Ohio}

Each time I made a successful franchise match with a veteran, it felt special.

Please don't get me wrong here. I always get energized when I am able to move a candidate of mine away from a traditional job search, to something more entrepreneurial in nature.

For me though, helping someone who has had the courage to take the real risks associated with serving our country is just so darn powerful, that I want to do more of it. A lot more.

My franchise consulting practice is more geographically focused than most. I really enjoy helping my local community with their business growth, and that's what happens when I am able to help a candidate of mine open a franchise business. New business-new jobs.

After some careful thought, I have decided to expand my reach and will now be working with military veterans across the entire US.

In the next few years, thousands of veterans, who have been serving overseas, will be coming home. I want to make sure that if they choose the business ownership route, and a franchise business is on their radar, they will be able to learn about their options in a professional, and non-threatening way.
