Low, Low Investment Opportunity
Sometimes, opportunities appear that are not franchises, but are close cousins to them. I have found one such very inexpensive opportunity. Actually, they found me....
I get all sorts of information sent to me via email, snail mail {What a weird term}and via phone calls. Most of them I shrug off, because they are really Pyramid or MLM schemes, which turn me off more than Osama Bin Laden followers. I was intrigued by this one because of what transpired when my wife got involved in the learning stage of it:
My wife even liked this one. It takes a lot for her to like something, at least at first. I guess you could say that unless a product or a service that she is looking at makes a strong 1st impression on her, she is just not really too interested in it. Well in this case....
She called me to tell me how cool this was! That is how I know that this company may have something. I know that my way is not too shall we say, scientific. Actually, very few things that I do are scientific. I am not a data driven guy. I am a "feeler." Intuition. I trust my 1st impression more than anything. My wife on the other hand needs to see and understand the data. We never argue about our major differences in this regard.
So here is how the call went:
Jeannine:
"Joel, where did these come from? {See!... she needs data}These are really cool. How did you do this?" {See! She still wants more data.}
Me:
"Oh Hi Honey. Do you like them?"
Jeannine:
"They are really cool. Putting Grace's {our daughter} picture on these is pretty neat. So, Joel, how did you find these? {I won't say anything about her need for data} Really, Joel. Where did they come from?"
Joel:
"Well, I got them from a gentleman by the name of Rene. He called me, and wanted some help with marketing his product. He found this blog, liked what he read, and thought that I would be a great guy to bounce some ideas off of."
Jeannine:
"How did you get Grace's picture? How did this guy put it on the ______?"
You can probably figure out the rest of the conversation. The conversation also included me asking Jeannine about her co-workers, and their reactions. I really wanted to know how the product that was delivered to Jeannine's office was perceived? What was their 1st impression? Did any of them think that the_______ were tacky?
Jeannine told me that none of her co-workers thought that the product was tacky. Jeannine thought it was pretty darn upscale looking, too.
That is all I needed to hear.
