Over 1,000 war veterans are now franchise owners because of the IFA {International Franchise Association} VetFran program..........
After September 11th, The IFA re-established the Veterans Transition Franchise Initiative to help war veterans get into businesses of their own. Veterans receive a discount on the franchise fee by the 250+ franchise companies that participate.
The program is also supported by The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.
On a personal note, I was able to help some candidates of mine get into a franchise business of their own, and coming soon, will have an interview with them on this blog.
It is a terrific story of a wounded Vietnam soldier, and how he and his wife have succeeded in the small business world.
