As the resident franchise expert in Northeast Ohio, I speak at numerous venues about franchising, including some Veteran's programs. I met John Renner, of Cleveland's Small Business Administration office, in 2002 at one such event. John and I see each other a couple of times a year, and end up being presenters together at various functions. John and I spent some quality time together over the summer, and we talked about an event coming up in the Cleveland area at the end of November for Veteran's interested in small business ownership options, and Veterans who currently own small businesses. John asked me to get involved, and I am participating as a panel member in small business ownership/franchising.
The 5th annual Veterans Symposium will be held November 29th at the John A. Spitzer Conference Center in Lorain, Ohio. {Just west of Cleveland} There will be guest speakers, and small business workshops. Networking opportunities will abound in this continually growing event.
