When Margie Toombs was downsized from her company, The Timken Corporation, a Canton, Ohio mainstay, she was not quite sure if corporate America was the place for her anymore....
Margie along with her husband, a Vietnam Vet by the name of Ray Toombs, attended a seminar given at Right Management in Cleveland {a career outplacement firm} on " Investing in a Franchise." The presenter, yours truly, explained that "franchising can be an alternative to traditional employment", their eyes lit up.
I actually remember talking with them after my seminar, and Margie seemed pretty energized by what she heard. She explained to me that Ray already had a little "handyman" business going.
They scheduled a meeting with me a week later, and after having them fill out a short questionnaire, and really learning about there dreams, hopes, goals and desires, I had a couple of specific franchise concepts in mind. I also was able to learn that Ray was a Veteran..which really energized me, and
I knew then what franchise to talk with them about..and why!
Read about the one I matched them too here!
